BAMBURGH CASTLE DUATHLONS – 2026

We are delighted to announce our return to the iconic Bamburgh Castle in 2026 with our popular Sprint and Standard Duathlons!

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Northumberland coastline, the runs take place on paths and trails around the castle grounds, while the cycle routes head out along the open roads of this outstanding coastal landscape.

This event is suitable for all fitness levels, and any type of push bike can be used.

Please note: This event is held on open roads. The Highway Code must be followed, and a cycling helmet is compulsory.

Transition Area

• Secure transition area for competitors only
• Race Number & Bike Number correspond to your racking spot
• Small bags/boxes permitted inside transition
• Bike number must be attached and helmet visible before entering
• Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition

Start Times

• Sprint Duathlon – 9:00am
• Standard Duathlon – 9:05am

Timing

Live Chip Timing will be provided by Timing Up North.
