The Big Lime Open Water Swims Return to Hartlepool Marina 

We’re excited to announce the return of the popular Big Lime Open Water Swims at Hartlepool Marina on Sunday 9th August 2026!

Whether you’re trying your first open water swim or are an experienced swimmer, this event welcomes all levels. With a dedicated water safety team and first aid on site, you can swim with confidence knowing you’re in safe hands.

Wetsuit Policy

Water temperatures in August are expected to be warm enough that wetsuits aren’t required, but we recommend wearing one for comfort and safety.

Timing

Live chip-timing will be provided by Timing Up North for all swimmers.

The Finish

All finishers will receive:

• An event medal
• Wild Deer merchandise
• A snack and a drink

Parking

Free parking is available for all participants at Hartlepool Marina.
