ESSEX TRIATHLONS - Hanningfield Reservoir 

We’re heading back down South to the stunning Hanningfield Reservoir in Essex, between Billericay and Chelmsford, for a spectacular day of swimming, cycling, and running in 2026!

Surrounded by mature woodland and 870 acres of water, the reservoir is a haven for wildlife and boasts scenic trails, peaceful country roads, and superb views — making it the perfect setting for both newcomers and seasoned multisport athletes. With no cut-off times, this is racing made for everyone.

Wetsuit Policy

Water temperatures are expected to be warm enough for optional wetsuit use. Wetsuits are recommended for buoyancy and comfort.

Transition Area

A secure transition zone will be in place. Please note:

• Race & Bike Numbers match your racking spot
• Small bag/box permitted in transition
• Bike must be numbered, helmet visible before entry
• Competitors only – numbers checked on entry
• Bib & Bike Numbers must be shown after racing to collect equipment

Timing

Live chip timing provided by Timing Up North with real-time results throughout the event.

Parking

Free parking is available for all participants.
