Raby Castle Trail Running Event – 2026 

We are delighted to be returning to Raby Castle in 2026 – a stunning venue for trail running with herds of deer roaming freely and miles of epic scenery to enjoy.

In 2026, we are delighted to be introducing new routes which will include 5km, 10km and Half Marathon distances!

About Raby Castle

Raby Castle, Park and Gardens is an elegant leisure destination set within the walls of one of England's finest medieval castles. With 200 acres to explore, it’s the perfect backdrop for a trail run.

The approach to the castle is particularly magical, with its towers appearing and disappearing through the trees of the surrounding parkland. Expect ornamental lakes, woodland trails, and the chance to encounter herds of red and fallow deer along your run.

Routes

The routes will be confirmed soon.

The routes will feature a mix of firm paths, woodland trails, grass sections and gentle undulations. It’s suitable for all abilities, from trail first-timers to seasoned runners, and offers jaw-dropping scenery at every turn.

Cani-Cross Friendly

One controlled dog per runner is allowed.

Start Times

We expect the start time to be approximately 10:00am however this will be confirmed closer to the event.

Live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North.
